A Working Man

Jason Statham doesn’t get the credit he deserves, and has always delivered as a true action leading man with natural charisma. His latest effort might not reinvent the wheel, but it does the basics just right to deliver a forgettable but engaging action-fest full of gunfights and snapped limbs. Minding his own business as a construction site foreman, Levon Cade (Statham) comes to the aid of his boss (Michael Pena) and his family when their teenage daughter Jenny (Arianna Rivas) is abducted from a bar. The one man army raises hell and comes up against the Russian mob as he looks to free her before they can sell her onto a buyer. Think Taken and Commando, but with a weaker script and bad pacing, however Statham makes it all immensely watchable with his great onscreen antics.
