As our name suggests, we are introducing plastic free shopping, giving people the choice and opportunity to change their shopping habits. Our refill shop will offer package free foods such as pasta, rice, cereals, nuts and pulses. We will also be offering a large selection of herbs and spices together with liquid refills of oils and vinegars, cleaning products and toiletries. Refill @ the Grange allows you to be in charge of how much or little you need to buy; just bring your own container and take home only what you require.
At Refill @ the Grange we are passionate about helping people reduce the amount of single-use plastic used. Unfortunately, recycling is not the answer as it costs the local authorities billions of pounds and can only be down-cycled. Quite often it ends up in landfill and we are sure that like us, it breaks your hearts to see the TV programmes showing 1 in 3 sea turtles and around 90% of seabirds eating it.
Refill @ the Grange was created to help people to say no to single use plastics by choosing to refill instead. By doing this we are not only helping our planet but also our pockets by not paying for unnecessary packaging.
We cannot recycle our way out of the plastic problem but we can change the way we shop. So bring along your jars and containers and join the refillable revolution!

In order to make sustainability accessible to all, we have had to compare the cost of organic to non-organic and if there is not a huge difference in price, we have opted for organic.

The 2018 opening of Sonya’s stunning showroom by Hampstead Heath in Dartmouth Park NW5 was the realization of her long-held dream to create a place to share her passion for colour and design. The showroom took two years of design, planning and renovations to transform a solicitors’ office into an inspiring light airy design gallery. This is now a showroom and design studio where you can see her vibrant rugs alongside Sonya’s carefully curated and ever changing selection of other design pieces, including hand blown glass, ceramics and jewellery. Most of these pieces cannot be found elsewhere as these designers, like Sonya, only work with very small production.
Visiting Sonya’s design gallery to experience her and her team’s passion for design and colour is a rewarding and uplifting experience – there is no pressure to buy just to enjoy!
If you are unable to visit, Sonya‘s team can help you choose a rug by email/phone using their free digital design service that inserts their rug designs into a photo of your room – allowing you to see how their rug designs will look before you purchase. The world’s fashion weeks are well underway and the number one trend is sustainability!
The fashion industry is a big polluter and news that luxury brands are becoming more environmentally conscious is welcome. Not all of us can afford luxury brands, however, so what can we do to shop more sustainably?
A new fashion boutique, Pop London opened at Blue House Yard in Wood Green and it certainly turns pre-conceptions about sustainable fashion on its head: sexy, glamorous, beautifully produced, size inclusive and most importantly, it’s affordable. Shazia Saleem, the founder and designer at Pop London explains “I studied fashion in Florence, Italy and worked with luxury brands before starting my own company. Pop London is about fun, feminine and quality designer led affordable fashion that has been ethically and sustainably produced. It is important to me that the fabrics that I use are gorgeous and my designs are versatile for busy women to wear to work and at weekends”.
Shazia has represented the UK on international design projects as a sustainable fashion expert and a film about her work in India and some of her creations are currently being shown at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. Each Pop design is produced with surplus fabric, including wastage leather and highly coveted Harris Tweed. Shazia also works closely with exiles from Tibet who produce some of her jewellery.
Is sustainable fashion an oxymoron? Not according to Shazia “The fashion industry undoubtedly needs to clean up and as consumers we need to buy less disposable fashion. However, it is unrealistic to think that as a society we will make a complete leap from excessive to zero waste. Small steps to incorporate sustainable designs into our wardrobes as we transition really makes a difference. At my boutique I encourage women to bring their favourite skirts or trousers and I offer to help style their existing outfits in new ways”.
Shazia also recommends shopping at thrift, clothes swap events or vintage stores but points out that vintage fashion tends to be for women on the slim side of the size spectrum! Her final piece of advice: “Remember that fashion is supposed to be fun and if you feel good in something then it is perfect”.
Pop London is open Tuesday – Sunday at Blue House Yard, London, N22 7TB.

We are family!
We think it’s all about the family. Our vision is a cooking in a bright beautiful kitchen, where everything has its place and the kids are calm at the table!
In reality though, many of us are frustrated at having utensils stuffed into overfilled drawers, rubbish missing the bin, or an overflowing bench top, as there simply just isn’t enough storage? We get it!
As parents with little ones ourselves, we are passionate about making your kitchen a little less overwhelming and a lot more heaven sent. We are all about a personal approach, a holistic approach, because we listen to what really bothers you. Sometimes the smallest of the details (like wishing you had a secret drawer for the chefs knives, that should be hidden away from your little ones) can change how you cook, entertain and feel about your space.
Here at VividLine Furniture we have the flexibility to offer you not only a unique design solution but also the flexibility to manufacture your kitchen in custom made materials, size and colours. Sustainability is something we also care deeply too. We want your children to live in a healthier environment and also do our bit to keep the planet green. We know ways to design a more eco-friendly kitchen and we would love to share our knowledge with you.
Dreaming of your family kitchen? Get in touch and we’ll make it a reality!
