THANKSGIVING

Way back in 2007 Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez released Grindhouse, their love-letter to the cult exploitation double features that played in cinemas across the ’60s, ’70s and ‘80s. Those films always used to have great trailers, which is why Grindhouse employed the likes of Rob Zombie to write and direct fake trailers for ‘Werewolf Women of the S.S’, Edgar Wright for ‘Don’t’ and Eli Roth and Jeff Rendell for ‘Thanksgiving’.
Well now, the concept has finally come to fruition some 16 years later, albeit with a few tweaks. A mysterious Thanksgiving-inspired killer terrorizes the town of Plymouth, Massachusetts, which is the birthplace of the American holiday. Patrick Dempsey is the town sheriff looking into the grisly murders with support from the likes of Gina Gershon, Addison Rae, Nell Verlaque, Karen Cliché and horror legend Rick Hoffman. Expect this to be a seasonal gorefest.
