After a year and a half of Marvel products mainly focusing on TV shows and some of their second-string movie releases, it’s time for the big guns to come out and play once again. Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is a hugely-important player in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and coming off the back of his very memorable cameo in the billion-dollar success Spider-Man: No Way Home, he now returns to the big scereen for his second solo movie. With the Multiverse open, there’s chaos and danger at every turn. Stephen (Cumberbatch) must defeat a villainous alternative version of himself from destroying the very fabric of existence, with Wong (Benedict Wong) and The Scarlett Witch Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) along to help. Rachel McAdams and Chiwetel Ejiofor return too, but the film will be defined by its cameos, including Bruce Campbell and the legendary Patrick Stewart, potentially ushering in The X-Men into the Marvel Studios collective.
