Barbican Cinema is delivering a late summer programme of outdoor film that brings together all of the art forms that are synonymous with the famed institution – cinema, music, theatre, dance and visual art. The Barbican Sculpture Court plays host to the event that opens in time for the August long weekend, beginning with Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii. Creature feature Mothra swoops down to the Barbican, joined by Studio Ghibli’s classic crowd-pleaser Princess Mononoke. Bodies of Water, La Planète Sauvage (Fantastic Planet) and Daughters of the Dust, are just some of the slate highlights this August bank holiday weekend.
