Our award winning homecare service Skillcare was started in 2012 by Denise Forbes. With a strong background in Health and Care, Denise had worked with some of the country’s most popular business and entertainment leaders, in shaping and advising on their physical and health care needs. Coming from a multi-generational family of healthcare professionals and providers, this seemed to be a natural progression for her to build upon.
Skillcare has harvested a dedicated and committed workforce from coordinators, field supervisors and carers to our excellent back end support team that work closely with clients and families to create personalised care plans tailored to individual’s unique needs. These plans consider factors such as the stage of a client’s illness or physical abilities including dementia, end of life/ palliative care, stroke, postoperative care. We dedicate time to really get to know our clients, understanding their personal preferences and triggers. This enables us to better support individuals, encouraging their independence but also recognising their condition as it progresses.
Our 24-hour service gives a client reassurance that their care needs will always be catered for.
Continuous improvement is a crucial goal for our business. We have been successful in implementing a digital care service that provides a clear roadmap on the areas that emerge where we need to improve.
