Women’s football coming to Southgate Olympic
After the success of England’s women’s football team at the European Championships in the summer a local football club is expanding by starting a women’s team.
Southgate Olympic football club who are quickly approaching their 90th anniversary, are adding a women’s team to their growing portfolio of teams, they will hold an open afternoon on Sunday 20th November for anybody wanting to come down and have a little training session and have a look around the facilities. They hope to enter the team into a league for the 2023/24 season.
The club currently run five male teams, two who are sponsored by N14 Directory, and there are also plans to hold Walking football sessions for over 50s in the near future at their home ground of Clowes Sports Ground, Barrowell Green, Winchmore Hill.
