Take a Daily Stroll in March
and Save Some Lives
DID YOU KNOW: Brain cancers kill more people under 40 than any other form of cancer in the UK.
DID YOU KNOW: Of all the funding provided by the Government for cancer research, just 1% goes towards research into brain cancers
DID YOU KNOW: March is Brain Cancer Awareness Month
DID YOU KNOW: In Sue’s Name is a local charity raising funds for research into treatments and cures for brain cancers.

David and Kathleen Taylor from Winchmore Hill lost their eldest daughter Sue to brain cancer in 2011. Sue was just 42, and left behind two small children.
In 2014, David focused his time and energy on creating a charity in his daughter’s name to help other families avoid this tragedy. He set a target to raise £1,000,000 by the end of 2027; he has already raised a staggering £560,000, which has funded a full-time researcher at the Queen Mary University’s Blizzard Institute.
Great strides have already been made, but we need to accelerate the breakthroughs.
March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month,
so we’re asking you to join our WALK OF HOPE campaign.
All it entails is a commitment to walking 100km during March and April and raising £100 or more in sponsorship. We’re giving out free T-shirts to the first 100 volunteers, and will help you to set up your own online fundraising page.
You can run, walk, stroll, jog. Take the dog. Take the kids. Do it all in one hit or just a couple of miles a day. But please do it. Because every person who raises £100 for In Sue’s Name brings a cure for brain cancer a step closer.
