Nurturing Notes – Launch of Music Therapy Group for Pre-term Babies.

In a heartwarming effort to provide support for families and babies with unique needs, local children’s charity CPotential is thrilled to announce the launch of Nurturing Notes, its brand-new music therapy group specifically designed for pre-term babies with additional needs. This community-based initiative aims to assist families whose babies have faced challenges such as premature delivery, complications at birth, and low birth weight.

Qualified music therapists will lead the welcoming and supportive Nurturing Notes group, offering a safe space for parents to connect with one another and engage in meaningful activities with their babies. The sessions are not only valuable for the babies who have spent time in neonatal intensive care units but also provide a supportive environment for parents navigating the complexities of early parenthood.

Generously hosted by The Toy Project, the Nurturing Notes sessions are also fully funded and free to attend. This altruistic contribution by The Toy Project to loan their playroom reflects a commitment to the wellbeing of families and underscores the importance of community collaboration.

Music Therapy in Early Intervention

Music therapy in early intervention is a specialised approach that focuses on each baby’s unique responses and potential for development. Through gentle singing, active listening, and support for parents, music therapy enhances the baby’s holistic sensory experience. It also plays a pivotal role in building parents’ confidence in connecting and bonding with their little ones during this crucial stage.

When and Where

The Nurturing Notes Music Therapy Group sessions will take place every Tuesday from 10.30am to 11.30am at The Play Room, 93 Junction Road, London N19 5QX.

Expanding Reach for Greater Impact

CPotential has future plans to establish additional Nurturing Notes groups in the community, so if you can’t get to Archway, interested individuals are encouraged to still reach out to highlight an area of interest or suggest a suitable premises for future group sessions.

Spread the Word for a Wider Impact

CPotential invites everyone to spread the word about these invaluable Nurturing Notes sessions. By reaching out to other families who may benefit from this initiative, we can collectively contribute to the wellbeing and development of pre-term babies and their families.
