Handmade In Highgate the Late Summer Fair

Handmade In Highgate are the designer/maker fairs held at the Highgate Literary and Scientific Institution in Highgate Village. Now held three times a year, the fairs focus on bringing the finest and brightest designer/ maker talent locally and from around the UK to the HLSI. In every show we feature designer/maker/artists working in every discipline for most budgets.

The HLSI was founded in 1839 and is normally closed to the public. The fairs offer a brilliant opportunity to view the fair, see the building and visit the historic library – which hosts a library sale during Handmade In Highgate. Lots and lots brilliant  cut price books!

The fairs always features a few regulars. The RHS gold medal winning horticulturist Ray Bates from Rotherview Nurseries will be outside the building with an amazing selection of seasonal shrubs and plants. And the brilliant artisan baker The Two Shuks will be on the stage with delicious cakes, savouries, jams and pickles.

Handmade In Highgate is free, everyone is welcome. Each fair features up to 30 different designer makers. Our next show takes place over three days on:

Friday 29 September: 5pm – 8pm

Saturday 30 September: 10am -6pm

Sunday 1 October: 11am – 5pm
