Did you know that I was born in Nairobi?

I moved to the UK aged just four years old and lived, with the rest of my family, in Leicester. But more on this another time…

Later, I moved to London to attend university and met Chetna. Chetna is from London and wanted to stay here and so, we found a community to settle in and build our family.

We settled in Whetstone and we have all loved being part of such a brilliant community over the past two decades.

Whetstone has been referred to as the hidden jewel of North London.

There are so many things to love about Whetstone…

– Picturesque walks. I’d recommend Swan Lane and Brook Farm.

– A high street to meet your day-to-day needs – Waitrose, M&S, fabulous independent boutiques and of course, the all-important coffee shops!

– Restaurants in abundance! In fact, most neighbouring towns and villages come into Whetstone specifically for the dining experience.

– Leading educational establishments – we’re proud to be located close to fantastic schools.

– Close to the busy areas of North Finchley and Barnet for additional retail needs and services.

– Excellent house prices. Whetstone has specifically been mentioned as a realistic destination for Londoners looking to finally step onto the property ladder.

– And of course, London life is just a short train journey away….

If you’re a community member, what do you love about Whetstone?

And if you’re not – is there anything else about our town that you’d like to know? Ask away!

3 Peaks Challenge

Some of you may know, last month, myself and 12 other members of the family climbed the 3 Peaks ( The 3 highest mountains in The UK – Scotland Ben Nevis, England Scafell Pike and Wales Mount Snowden within 24 hours for 3 amazing charities :

  • Kidney Care UK
  • Save the children
  • The Brain Tumour charity

Like many things in life, the challenge has taught me, that doing small things consistently and this will push you towards your goal. Like the 50 sets of stairs 3 times a week, like the 10-15k hilly walks twice monthly, we have all endured tough exertions over the last 6 months. This has truly been the hardest mentally and physically testing thing I have ever done.

Big shout out to my younger brother Ketan Bhardwa, who initiated this amazing feat within our family  ❤️🙏❤️

We have smashed our target of raising £5000, to date we have raised £9760.

Thank you for those who have donated to our cause, very much appreciated. I am asking for any final round of donations whether it be £5 or more every little counts. We want to reach over £10,000. Thanking you in advance, here is the go fund me link in case you can donate
