CPotential showcasing local artists in Crouch End Shop

If you think all charity shops in Crouch End are the same, think again. CPotential’s Boutique Charity Shop is not only a successful shop and fundraising outlet but also a unique showcase for some of the best local artistic talents.

CPotential is a rehabilitation centre located in Muswell Hill providing integrated therapy services and support to children and young people with movements disorders. They have been helping disabled children and their families since 1963.

Without any Government funding, the charity depends on voluntary donations, grants, and legacies to provide their vital range of services for children with cerebral palsy, global developmental delay or acquired brain injury.

As their sole charity shop, CPotential in Crouch End aims to bring people together who care about the cause but to be community driven, keeping the public interested and engaged and providing a tailor-made shopping experience that’s customer led and suits the community they serve.

Being environmentally friendly is also one of the shop priorities, selling items that are reusable and can be recycled or upcycled rather than end up as landfill.

Over the last few months, the shop staff reached out to the community to dedicate window displays that exhibit works by local artists. The shop was bowled over by the response from both established and emerging creatives. The local artists agreed that to advertise their works in the shop combined with supporting a charity, provided a unique and eclectic platform to display their work locally. The exhibition results were beyond expectations with most pieces selling out within a few days, raising significant funds for this great cause.

CPotential will be continuing to provide local artists this exhibiting opportunity, so are keen for any visitors or residents to drop by the shop for a chat or donate any creative pieces or preloved items in readiness for future display themes.

You can also support the charity by nominating CPotential Trust while shopping online at smile.amazon.co.uk, taking on a sporting challenge, becoming a corporate partner, or holding a sponsored quiz night, games night or cocktail evening amongst friends.

To visit or donate items to the boutique shop, pop along to 25 Broadway Parade, London N8 9DE or visit cpotential.org.uk for more information about fundraising opportunities and the integrated rehabilitation services for disabled children and their families.
