The Fair is back!

One of Highgate’s most popular community events is back – The Fair in the Square returns to Pond Square on Saturday 11 June.  It’s been a bewildering three years since the bunting last adorned the village so the organisers are determined that 2022 will be a special one for the neighbourhood to come together again for a great day out.

As it’s a free event you don’t have to spend to have fun with two live entertainment stages, a dog show and roving jugglers and stiltwalkers.  For children there are fair rides and Mini Mozart will be running musical and creative activities in the Kids Tent.

The St Michael’s Choir will perform inside the church where its Café will be serving delicious home baked cakes and steaming cups of tea.  At the church you can book yourself one of their Tower Tours, which after climbing 52 steps you are rewarded with one the most stunning views over London.

There will be dozens of colourful stalls lining the Square and South Grove selling an exciting range of world food, crafts, plants, books and clothes.  The vast majority of stalls are run by local charities, societies and businesses and The Fair gives them an ideal showcase to the thousands of visitors who typically flock to Highgate on the day.  Visitor feedback reveals that many rated highly the opportunity to explore the range of local activities to get involved in – from volunteering to the arts, beekeeping, horticulture or sports.

The Fair and is volunteer run on a not for profit basis for the local community with generous support from local sponsors and donations.  This year we welcome Highgate School as a new sponsor joining our confirmed sponsors to date, HLSI, Highgate Society, Streathers Solicitors, Mini Mozart Music School and Day Morris.
